The Scoville Heat Unit Comparison

The Scoville Heat Unit of the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T is over 1,400,000. The Scoville Heat Unit or SHU is how peppers are rated for the amount of heat they have. The Butch T has the highest and it isn’t recommended to be eaten raw or whole. To get an idea of how hot a Trinidad Scorpion Butch T actually is you should compare it to other hot peppers.  One hot pepper that many people have eaten and cried over is the Habanero Pepper. The SHU of a habanero is around 300,000. Now just imagine what a pepper like the Scorpion would be like to eat. As you can probably imagine the amount of pain from the burning heat would be nearly impossible to stand.
